Golden State Warriors to host MMA promotional events featuring UFC and Strikeforce fighters

The Golden State Warriors will have two MMA promotional events  this season.

Both events are presented by the MMA clothing brand, Dethrone Royalty.

I have heard that the owner of Dethrone Royalty was part of the Joe Lacob and Peter Guber group that recently purchased the Warriors franchise.

The first event will be on Friday, January 28, when UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will be doing a post-game Q&A session after the Warriors finish their game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Velasquez will be appearing that night as part of Latino Heritage Night.

The second MMA event is call MMA Night and it will be on February 7 when the Warriors take on Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns.

MMA Night will feature  pre-game autograph signings with both UFC and Strikeforce fighters.

Some of the fighters scheduled to sign include Velasquez, Josh Koscheck, Nick Diaz, Gilbert Melendez,  and Daniel Cormier.

Fans who purchase tickets for these two events will receive a commemorative t-shirt from  Dethrone Royalty.
